During our trip to Arizona, Tracey and Joe noticed that Quinton just was not himself, (this had been going on for a couple of months). He was always tired, which he never is his always wanting to play sports, he kept getting thirsty and a couple of times felt like he was going to pass out, he lost a lot of weight. So they cut their vacation short and took Quinton to his Dr. Quinton was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, he spent the night in the hospital while they gave him an IV for dehydration. The Dr. told Tracey and Joe that he could not leave until they understood how to give the insulin shots and counting the carbs.
Quinton was so calm about everything, he did give us all a scare, but he knows his life can go on quite normal. Here is a picture of Quinton taking his blood sugar before his lunch. What an awesome grandson, we love him very much.
