Cape Agulhas: The southernmost tip of the African continent and the point where the Atlantic and Indian oceans meet, is know as Cape Agulhas commissioned in 1849, the lighthouse is the second oldest working lighthouse in the country. The white-washed cottages date back 200 years. Originally referred to as Waenhuiskrans (wagon house cliff), this village was named when early settlers discovered a huge cave and thought that it greatly resembled the dome roofed tents in which they housed their wagons.
