Christmas morning I was the first one awake, 5:00am every one was still asleep, Dave was still at work, I went down stairs and sat on the couch and just looked at the Christmas tree and the gifts under it. I thought to myself what an awesome Christmas, I have my children with me, we missed Terry and Sheri up in Tahoe, but I was so grateful for the blessing that have been given to us, the home we have, the food we eat, the beautiful grand kids we enjoy, just so many things to be thankful for. Dave got home at 7:00am and we waited about an hour until everyone started getting up, first the pooches that just greet you every morning with such love and excitement, slowly everyone else came down to open gifts. Grandpa handed out the gifts after we were done off we went to Tracey and Joe's for an awesome breakfast that Tracey cooks every Christmas morning, then opened more gifts.
I just cannot express how thankful I am for my husband and family and soon the New Year will be beginning and I hope and pray that it will be a good year for those that are having bad times.
