what does freedom mean to me?
I was born and raised in South Africa during the time of the Apartheid. I came to the U.S.A. when I was 19 years old. Looking back on my life I have so much to be thankful for. I am thankful for my heritage and especially for my ancestors who left their Countires to try to find a better way of life.
I am so thankful for what Freedom means to me.
Freedom is important because it gives one the rights and privileges that make every day a privilege to be hear.
I have freedom of speech, to speak my mind.
freedom to write and publish what I please, freedom to vote for the candiate of my choice without being persecuted.
I have the freedom to Vacation whereever I wish.
I have the freedom to follow my own religious beliefs.
freedom as a mother , to have as many children as I wish and not being told by the Govement what your limit is.
I have freedom to go into any store at anytime and buy the food I enjoy.
All these freedoms are important to me.
Living in a free country I can make my own decisions and choices.
My choices can be good or bad, but it is still my freedom to choose.
With freedom comes responsibility, me and myself alone are responsible for my actions and thoughts. I try not to take these freedoms for granted because they can be taken from me. But the choice is mine.
Quote: Stephen R. Covey.
"While we are free to choose out actions, we are not free to choose the consequences of out actions.
